Yong Huat Delight

Yong Huat Delight is owned and managed by Ms. Liang Yuan who makes her rice slurry uniquely by grinding them instead of relying on the standard method of mixing rice flour with water. She’ll return to the stall at night to soak the rice for six to eight hours. After the rice has soaked overnight, she’ll come back in the morning to mill it.
Stall offers Plain Chee Cheong Fun or Chee Cheong Fun with added ingredients like egg, chives, corn, mushroom, Mangkuang & Shrimps, Chicken, Minced Meat, Char Siew or Prawns. Also offers various types of porridge like cuttlefish, corn, mushroom, seafood, chicken porridge, fish, pig’s viscera and more.
The Chee cheong fun has a smooth, silky texture and didn’t break easily. All the ingredients are wrapped inside like a popiah. The purpose of rice grinding is to make the Chee Cheong Fun stays firm longer to achieve the soft and chewy taste. The char siew was tender and chewy, which is the perfect complement to the silky Chee cheong fun. Absolutely wonderful!
Yong Huat Delight Address: Blk 50A, Marine Terrace Market, #01-297, S441050 Operating Hours: 5am to 2pm (Daily)
Seng Hoe Fish Ball Minced Meat Noodle

Seng Hoe Fish Ball Minced Meat Noodle is a legendary stall at Marine Terrace Market. It is always packed with long snaking queues, and you can easily wait for 30 – 40 mins. Stall offers Mee Pok Dry, Kuay Teow Mee Soup, Fish ball Bee Hoon Soup, Fish ball minced meat noodle dry/soup, fish ball soup, slices fish soup, fish porridge and fish soup.
Ordered Mee Pok Dry for $5. Even though it’s the smallest option, you still get a generous serving of noodles and other ingredients including pork mince, meatballs, fish balls, mushrooms and sliced pork. Noodles are Al Dente, fish balls and fish cakes are QQ, and bouncy, sliced and minced pork are fresh and well marinated. Nicely tossed in fragrant chili, soy sauce and oil and served with chopped spring onions and lots of pork lards. The accompanying clear soup is really yummy, and I finished every drop of it.
Seng Hoe Fish Ball Minced Meat Noodle Address: Blk 50A, Marine Terrace Market, #01-277, S441050 Operating Hours: 630am to 830pm (Closed on Thursday)
Kim Chuan Cooked Food

Kim Chuan Cooked Food is a Zi Char stall open till late at night. The menu at the stall is huge with lot of Chinese cuisine options.
Though the portions are generous, but some diners may find the cuisine too salty for their taste. The Thai-style chicken cutlet rice, three cups Chicken and fried fish head with bitter gourd were particularly noteworthy, which put a novel spin on a classic dish. The high sodium content of the meals at Kim Chuan Cooked Food may be different for everyone’s taste, but the stall serves up some great fare overall.
Kim Chuan Cooked Food Address: Blk 50A, Marine Terrace Market, #01-301, S441050 Operating Hours: 8am to 9pm (Daily)
Taste of tradition (Closed)

Taste of tradition is famous for their delectable Hokkien Mee and Oyster Omelette.
Their Hokkien Mee is savory and well balanced with two types of noodles – white thick rice noodle and yellow noodle stir fried with eggs and broth. The noodle is cooked nicely and not soggy. You can taste the fresh and sweetness of the prawn broth soaked up by the noodle after every bite. The prawns are fresh, succulent, and the squid slices are chewy. Enjoy the sourness of the squeezed lime juicy complement perfectly with the dish. It’s a pity that the Balachan chili is on the sweet side as I prefer more punch to it.
Their Oyster Omelette is generous with large, plump and juicy oysters. The eggs were fried till golden light crisp, yet not too oily. Perfect dish to complement with a glass of beer.
Taste of tradition Address: Blk 50A, Marine Terrace Market, #01-279, S441050 Operating Hours: 10am to 3pm & 4pm to 8pm (Daily)
Ole Ole Bumbu

Ole Ole Bumbu is one of the most well-known Malay Halal stalls located at Marine Terrace Market when it gotten its famed after being featured by Class 95 Makan kakis. Ole Ole Bumbu is famous for its special lontong with jackfruit and Nasi Lemak.
The spices were well blended to give the gravy an additional touch of smoothness and fragrance. The gravy was creamy and flavorful with added coconut milk and the sweetness of the coconut brought the taste to a next level. The cabbage and ingredients were stewed till really soft and nice to chew. The highlight of the dish is the serunding that made the dish so amazing.
Another signature dish is their Nasi Lemak, which comes with chicken drumstick or breast, served with spicy sambal. You can smell the aroma of the coconut milk and pandan leaves. The meal is best to enjoy with a beverage, which tends to be on the dry side. Definitely well worth for the cheap price tag of $5.

Tanjong Rhu Wanton Mee

If you’re a fan of noodles, you would have eaten Tanjong Rhu Wanton Mee before as they have so many outlets in Singapore. You can find their outlets at Old Airport Road Food Centre, Jalan Batu Food Centre, Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Jalan Besar, Sims Drive, Toa Payoh and more.
The special mee kia (thin egg noodles) used in this stall stand out from the standard Hong Kong style mee kia by being slightly thicker and straight. The noodles, which are cooked to perfection, offer an added chewiness that’s quite pleasing to the palate. The chili sauce is particularly remarkable as it offers a satisfyingly fiery flavor that makes you want more. The char siew is excellent, with a robust, unmistakably porky flavor. The dish’s only flaw was its oily appearance and unsatisfactory soup’s conclusion. As a whole, Tanjong Rhu Wanton Mee is still a tasty and filling dish that you should try.

Hong Kee Delights

Hong Kee Delights is another popular stall at Marine Terrace Market that serves Nyonya Kueh and their signature rice dumpling. Stall offers 2 types of rice dumpling – savory pork rice dumpling and Nyonya sweet and savory meat rice dumpling. Fans of Hong Kee will agree that their dumpling is one of the best around this area as they are freshly, and homemade daily.
Glutinous rice and tender pork are used in preparation for both rice dumpling. Other ingredients include mushroom slices, chestnut, dry scrimps and pork belly slices. Nonya meat dumplings were made sweeter with chunks of chestnuts and winter melon. Glutinous rice is fried with soy sauce, oil and pork lards to get the aromatic fragrant. Skillfully wrapped the rice and ingredients into a triangle sharp and tied with nylon string. Then bring the whole bundle to boil for more than an hour before they are ready to serve.
By the way, they’re very popular and often sell out as early as 11am. Although the price is slightly higher than average, but they are handmade with premium ingredients. Highly recommended.

You should try their three layers milk tea or three layers coffee or lemon juice, cold tea, ice, and fresh lemon slices come together in their iced lemon tea for a tasty and pleasant drink. Although the queue is long, but they move pretty fast.
