Lucky Wanton Noodle is probably listed as one of the top ten Wanton Mee stalls in Singapore. Mr. Ng, the owner for more than 40 years serves a great plate of Wanton Noodle and Dumpling Noodle. The lines are long during meal peak hours, but definitely worth the wait.

Blue Star Fishball Minced Meat Noodle is another popular stall serving their signature Mushroom Minced Meat Moodle, Fishball Noodles, and Fish Dumplings Noodles.

Rolina Traditional Hainanese Curry Puff

Rolina Traditional Hainanese Curry Puff was accidentally given by one of his customers who mispronounced “Novena” as “Rolina” when they operated outside Novena church in the past.
The bite-sized Hainanese curry puff is full of flavour. This puff is filled with potatoes in a curry paste and hard-boiled egg all contained in a golden pocket of buttery pastry. The stall served two flavours of hand-crimped curry puffs which are potato and sardines, then deep-fried them at the stall.
Some might say the puffs are too small, but nonetheless, they are delicious and the award of ‘Bib Gourmand” by the Michelin Guide was well deserved.

The homemade satay sauce of the Satay Bee Hoon served at Teochew Satay Been Hoon is delicious. This stall has been operating since the 1970s and it is well worth it to give it a try.
The nutty satay sauce is freshly made with over 20 ingredients and it is served with a generous topping of kangkong, cuttlefish, pork meat slices, pork liver slices and cockles. This dish fuses elements of Malay, Javanese, and Teochew cuisines and it is a tasty and value for money dish to indulge in.

Rong Xing Yong Tau Fu

If you crave something homely and utterly tasty, please take the time to visit Rong Xing Yong Tau Fu. The stall has been in the food centre for decades and the food is prepared with passion.
The soup is delicious and light with great umami flavour from the soya beans & added ingredients. The mixture of the sesami oil, sweet dark sauce and chilli with dried shrimps added so much fragrant, sweet and spiciness to the dry version.
If you cannot decide between the dry or the soup version of the dish. Try them both and you will not be disappointed.

Delicious 美味 Mee Rebus, Mee Siam, Lontong

The name says it all! This stall sells delicious Mee Rebus, Mia Siam, and Lontong. This stall is known for only having these three items on the menu and they sell out very fast around lunch time. Regulars have to be quick to sample this deliciousness because the long line underlines the popularity of these dishes.
Love the tofu as they are soft and doesn’t have the usual overpowering tofu taste. Plus they don’t skimp on ingredients and use a full egg. These homely old-school flavours are a must to try and a firm favourite in the Tanjong Pagar Food Centre.

Traditional Hakka Rice

The food is made freshly every day by the Hakka family who owns and runs Traditional Hakka Rice. They serve a lovely bowl of thunder tea rice and you have a choice of white or brown rice. It is served with tofu cubes, vegetables, long beans, mustard greens, peanuts, dried shrimp and more, with a bowl of herbal lei cha soup. The Lei Cha soup is made from a mixture of herbs including basil, coriander, Oolong tea, Green tea leaves, various roasted nuts and seeds & more.

The more than ten lovely snacks served by the mother and daughter team are just as colourful as the signboard of Kueh Ho Jiak. You cannot miss the stall. You will love to look and snack on the mostly colourful Ang Ku Kueh. All the kuehs are made by hand with wonderful and robust flavours.

Celebrities Big Prawn Noodle

Celebrities Big Prawn Noodle is the new kids on the block at Tanjong Pagar Plaza food centre which just open in Feburary this year. Stall is already gathering huge crowds especially during peak meal hours. Their Menu only have three items which are Pork Ribs Big prawn Mee ($5/$8), Big Prawn Mee ($5/$8) and Big Prawn Mee with sliced Abalone ($6/$8), all available in dry or soup.
Prawns were juicy and fresh, noodles were springy, broth flavourful but a bit salty. One piece of pork ribs was a bit disappointing for a $5 bowl and you might have to order a bigger $8 bowl to enjoy more.
